Pebbled cowhide in a yellow that does not sit quietly, closer to a highlighter than to butter. The grain is left visible and matte, so the colour reads as pigment rather than plastic.

The flap closes with a heart-shaped silver turn-lock, which is the one piece of hardware on any of these bags that is purely for the pleasure of it. An engraved silver plaque sits at the base of the front panel. Looped leather tabs at each side carry silver O-rings for a strap.

The lining is folk art on black: crosses, blooms and small suns in red, green, gold and blue, packed edge to edge. There is a zip pocket along the back wall for the things you do not want loose.

Large. Enough for a notebook, a water bottle and everything else.

Comes with an adjustable strap for the shoulder or across the body. Like all of these, the O-rings will take a belt instead if you prefer to wear it at the hip.

Made in Australia by the owner of the shop, and one of one. Cut and sewn on a sewing machine, one bag at a time rather than down an assembly line, so no two are the same — and when this one is gone there is not another like it.
